Adam “George” Fournier hails from Erie, Penn., and is a graduate of the Syracuse University theater program and the proud holder of a degree he uses every day. He got his start in bartending at the ripe old age of 20 when his first bar manager incorrectly calculated his age on his resume.
Fournier moved to Los Angeles in 2009 with delusions of being a writer, but after brief stints as an NBC Page and Hollywood assistant, he fell back in love with bartending . He soon found himself running the program at Steingarten LA. Shortly after that he took over the bar program at Areal Restaurant in Santa Monica where, over a five year stint, he turned the bar into a Westside whiskey destination, with 300+ bottles featuring over 25 privately selected single barrels. Fournier also found time to bartend occasionally at The Chestnut Club, and help train the opening team at Old Lightning in Venice.
In 2017 he took over the award winning program at Faith & Flower in Downtown, LA. He also cemented his reputation as the best 2nd place bartender in Los Angeles by making showings at the national finals for Heaven Hill’s Bartender of the Year, Chivas’ Master’s, and Herradura’s Legends bartender competitions.
Then in 2018, Fournier joined the opening team of the long anticipated NoMad Los Angeles as one of the beautiful properties Bar Managers. In their first year Fournier helped lead the team to being named Time Out LA’s Best New Bar in LA as well as the Best Bar in LA for 2019. He also curated the award winning spirits program.
